Introduction to the Global Workforce Challenge
Welcome to the Global Workforce Challenge, where students get hands-on experience in understanding how the hiring and job market works from both sides. In this challenge, students learn how to find the right people for jobs, interview them, and use tools like Fiverr to hire freelancers for different tasks. They even get a $10 credit to try out hiring for real, working on projects like video editing, animation, and content creation.
Why Understanding the Job Market Matters
In today’s business world, knowing how the job market works is key, not just for getting hired but also for building a team. This challenge helps students learn the basics of how companies find the right workers and what they look for when hiring. By experiencing both sides—the company and the applicant—students get a real-world view of the process that helps them develop skills they can use in business or any career they pursue.
Tools and Skills

In this challenge, students will:

• Learn to review resumes and understand what makes a good fit for a job.
• Use tools like Fiverr to hire freelancers for tasks such as animation, content creation, or video editing.
• Analyze job postings on company career pages and learn how to use Glassdoor to check salary ranges for different locations.

These tools help students practice real-world job skills like decision-making, project management, and effective communication.

The Interview Process: Learning What Companies Want
Interviewing is a key part of finding the right workers. In the Global Workforce Challenge, students will learn what types of questions to ask in an interview and how to judge whether someone is a good fit for a job. They’ll also get to understand what employers expect from candidates and how they make decisions about who to hire.
How This Challenge Prepares Students for the Future
This challenge is perfect for students interested in business or entrepreneurship. It teaches them how to think like an employer, giving them a clear view of what companies look for when hiring workers. Understanding the hiring process from the employer’s side helps students in all sorts of future job situations—whether they want to start their own business or land a great job in the future.
