Starter School ("we", "us") respects your privacy and that of your family. This policy explains what information we collect through starterschool.com and our programs, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Information you give us — name, email address, phone number, and any details you share when you apply, book a call, subscribe to our newsletter, or contact us.
• SMS consent records — when you choose text reminders, we keep the date, disclosure version, IP address, and device information associated with that choice so we can document your consent.
• Student information — for enrolled students, program progress and work product. Because many of our students are minors, we collect student information only with verifiable parent or guardian consent.
• Usage and attribution information — pages visited, referring and landing URLs, campaign and advertising click identifiers, event timestamps, and interactions used to understand how people find and use the site.
• Network and browser information — IP address, approximate country, User-Agent, browser and operating system, device type, language, timezone, screen and viewport size, and coarse connection information. We do not request precise location, contacts, installed fonts, or other high-entropy device data.
• Cookies and local storage— Signal uses a first-party anonymous visitor identifier in a cookie and local storage so visits and conversions can be connected over time. Other advertising tools may also set their own identifiers, such as Meta's _fbp and _fbc.

How we use it

• To operate our programs and communicate with you about them.
• To send you content you asked for, such as newsletters and lead magnets. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To improve our site, programs, and marketing.
• To process payments through our payment providers.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not share student information with third parties except as needed to run the program.
• We do not knowingly market to children — our marketing is addressed to parents and guardians.

SMS / text messaging

A mobile number is required when you register for one of our free webinars or events, but SMS consent is optional. If you select the separate, unchecked consent box, you agree to receive automated SMS confirmation and reminder messages about that event. You may register without opting in to SMS, and consent is not a condition of registration, enrollment, or purchase. Message frequency varies (typically 3–5 messages per registered event). Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or reply HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Data retention & your rights

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information at any time by emailing hello@starterschool.com.

Signal honors supported Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browser signals by not creating its identifier or sending analytics events. You can also ask us to opt you out or delete analytics data associated with you using the email address above.
