Introduction to the Electronics Components Challenge
Welcome to the Electronics Components and Procurement Challenge! In this program, students dive into the fascinating world of electronics by building different circuits using Tinkercad, a user-friendly circuit simulation software. This challenge is designed to help students understand how electronic components work together and how to source them in the real world.

Hands-On Circuit Building with Tinkercad
Students will get hands-on experience by building a variety of circuits in Tinkercad. They will create projects like Arduino-controlled motors and colorful LED circuits. Tinkercad makes it easy to design and test these circuits virtually before moving on to real-life components. This approach helps students see how electricity flows and how different parts of a circuit interact.

Learning to Source Real Components
After designing their circuits in Tinkercad, students will learn how to find and purchase the actual components needed to build their projects. They will use online stores like Mouser and Digikey to locate specific parts. Students will also learn about important topics like minimum order quantities, lead times, and reading spec sheets. This knowledge is crucial for anyone interested in working in the electronics industry.
Understanding the Electronics Industry
In the electronics industry, it’s important to know not just how to build circuits, but also how to choose the right components. Our program teaches students about the limitations, costs, and availability of different parts. By understanding these factors, students become valuable team members who can contribute effectively to real-world projects.
